Schools of Hope is an early intervention model for children struggling with reading. Volunteer tutors commit to spending a minimum of 30 minutes a week working one-on-one with a student in literacy and reading.

The program is in place in 22 schools around the county, including McDowell and Miwok schools in Petaluma.
