Hey there, car fanciers. Doing anything Saturday? You may want to rearrange your plans so you can get down to the Petaluma Livestock Auction for the first Roy’s Chicago Dogs @ the Yard Hot Rod & Kustom Stampede.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 25, the yard will be filled with 1965 and earlier traditional-style Hot Rods, Kustoms, and Choppers. There’s no entry fee, so if you’ve got a great-looking vehicle, bring her down and sign her up. Three awards will be handed out: People’s Choice, Jalopies CC’s Choice, and Roy’s Choice.

The yard is at 84 Corona Road and yes, there will be music: rockabilly, jump blues, classic country-western and doo-wop with DJ Tom LG.

The host, Jalopies Custom Cars of the North Bay, asks for no outside food and reminds exhibitors, “This is a big, old livestock auction facility with a gravel lot so you better not be afraid of gettin’ your car a little dusty!”
