Six Petaluma 4-H members, competing in the Junior Rabbit Meat Pen division at the Sonoma County Fair, had their three-rabbit pens sold at auction Sunday, July 30.

Melanie Hanlon of Liberty 4-H, took home $425 for two pens sold.

Representing Two Rock 4-H, Erin Martin’s two pens brought in $325; Kelsey Martin, also with two pens, received $325; Cole Schafer’s single pen sold for $700; while Lizzie and Mary Sonnichsen’s single pens went for $125 and $150, respectively.

County-wide, 34 pens were sold, for an estimated average pen price of $266.18.
