For four Mondays in July (July 1, 7, 22 and 29), starting at 7 p.m., Chanticleer alum Justin Montigne leads “Ready, Set, Sing!,” open to beginning through advanced singers and focusing on improving individual technique in choral singing. Puppets on Parade? You betcha. Create a giant puppet for Petaluma’s El Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Candlelight Procession in late fall at a Petaluma Arts Center class from 1-4 p.m. starting Sunday, July 7. Instructor Kat Lilith teaches the six-week class. Puppets will be created using as many recycled materials as possible, including fabric, paint, newsprint and brown bags. Cost is $125, plus $25 per puppet. The PAC is at 230 Lakeville St. Enrollment is limited to six giant puppet groups – multiple people can create one puppet. Visit petalumaartscenter.org.
