El Dia de los Muertos Petaluma observes Mexican Independence Day with a portrait art workshop where children are welcome to create a portrait of a person special to them, possibly someone who has died.
The event is free and all materials are provided. Prizes will be awarded and the portraits will be reviewed and displayed at the Petaluma Library.
Presented by Colors of Spanish, the workshop is from 2-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18 at Whole Foods Market, 621 E. Washington St. Visit colorsofspanish.org for details.
