On Saturday, Sept. 7, Petaluma Bounty hosts its Fall Plant Sale and Harvest Party from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

The day begins with a winter garden workshop with Wendy Krupnick. From 9-11 a.m. the local gardening expert and author walks participants through the steps for a successful fall and winter garden. Cost is $20.

Following the workshop is the Bounty Fall Plant Sale.  Plants will be $2-$4.

The Harvest Party is from noon-3 p.m. Lunch is $12, but picnickers are welcome to bring their own food. Lunch includes roast lamb, veggies, cheese, wine and dessert.  Lunchers should supply their plates and utensils.

Live music and a free tomato tasting are from 2-3 p.m.  The tasting is a chance to try locally grown favorites and learn what varieties might appear in your garden in future.  Guests are welcome to bring tomatoes from their gardens to include in the tasting.

The event takes place at Petaluma Bounty Community Farm, 55 Shasta Ave. For details, call 775-3663.
